PSAT/NMSQT

10th and 11th grade Students and Parents/Guardians:

Westlake High School will offer the digital PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 to

  • all sophomores and
  • to juniors who register to take the test.  (All sophomores will be automatically registered.)

Results from the PSAT are designed to provide predictive data for a student's future success on the SAT and in college. The PSAT allows a student to see their areas of strength and areas for improvement before taking the SAT. For juniors, PSAT/NMSQT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.

Students will receive an electronic score report that shows how they performed overall, as well as their performance on each test section.  Additionally, they will be able to see how their scores compare to those of other students across the nation.  The score reports will be available online about 2 weeks after the exam.

SOPHOMORES will automatically be registered for the PSAT at no cost to the family.  If you would like to opt your child out of the PSAT exam, please complete the PSAT Opt-Out Form.

JUNIORS who wish to take the PSAT/NMSQT exam must register and pay for their exam through Total Registration.

  • Early Registration- must be paid for by Wednesday, September 23, 2026  at a cost of $44.
  • Late Registrations- must be paid for by Sunday September 27, 2026 at a cost of $84. Registrations that are not paid by this date will be canceled and exams will not be ordered for those students.

Prior to test day, all students are encouraged to learn more about the digital PSAT here and access practice questions directly in the Bluebook app on their school-issued iPad.

Students who have College Board approved accommodations will automatically receive them on this exam.  No further action is required.

Students with accommodations that have not been approved by the College Board should start the approval process by completing the Accommodation Questionnaire here by September 8, 2026.  We are unable to provide any accommodations on the PSAT that have not been approved by the College Board.

Detailed test day information will be sent to families in October. Should you have questions regarding the registration process or financial assistance please email PSAT@eanesisd.net.

Sincerely,

Steve Ramsey, Principal
