TRANSPORTATION UPDATES

Elementary parents can make campus dismissal changes in SMART tag beginning August 7. The last day for parents to change default dismissals is August 13 at 12 noon. See SMART tag website.

Bus routes will be available to view beginning August 7 at 12 noon. View bus routes.

SMART tag has a new app! Families can track their child’s bus in real-time and receive push notifications when routes are delayed. Families who are currently using SMART tag will receive an email to set up the app. Watch video to learn more.
NEW COMMUNICATION TOOLS & RESOURCES

We are excited to introduce ParentSquare for our district and school communications. ParentSquare will replace Skylert as the district's notification system for both emergency and general school & district notifications, primarily with email, text and app notifications. Wondering where you find something on the website? We have launched a Chatbot to easily navigate searches, which in turn, identifies how we can improve our websites. Check out the Chatbot on the District and Westlake HS websites.

We are excited to share we have a new app! Customize to the school(s) of your choice and get news, events, calendars and more. The app also has a district directory, as well as schedules and scores from Westlake Nation, our athletics website. Learn more and download today!
MEAL PAYMENTS THROUGH LINQ
Families can now add funds to student lunch accounts through LINQ. The system provides automatic recurring payments with low balance alerts, dietary and purchase restriction settings and more. Learn more about LINQ.
2024-25 ACADEMIC CALENDAR

NEW OTC MEDICATION REQUIREMENTS
Eanes ISD nurses will no longer accept over the counter (OTC) medication from parents without a prescription from a doctor or dentist. This applies to all common OTC medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. See required Authorization Form.
NEW ATTENDANCE TERMINOLOGY
Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, absences in Eanes ISD will be coded as Funded or Unfunded. Eanes ISD receives approximately $53 per day per student for students either attending school or having a funded reason for being absent. This revenue, called Average Daily Attendance, accounts for 81% of our operating budget. Eanes ISD loses approximately $1 million per year due to unfunded absences. Read more about attendance.
