Westlake HS Named One of Best High Schools in Nation, State, Region

AUSTIN, Texas – Westlake High School has been ranked number 248 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, announced Westlake Principal Steve Ramsey today. Westlake was honored as a Gold Medal recipient and ranks first in the state for 6A comprehensive four-year high schools, excluding magnets, Early College high schools, charters and schools that require an admission process.

"Our students and teachers amaze us each and every year at Westlake High School. It is an honor to be recognized once again as the number one 6A comprehensive high school in the state,” said Ramsey. “We value our students, teachers, counselors, administrators and staff who have built a quality daily culture that allows us to succeed in so many areas including academics."

Seniors

• As you are receiving scholarship offers, please report them on this form (due by May 1). The information you provide is part of the graduation program, and we tally the total dollar figure of scholarships offered to the class to share at graduation.
• May 1st is still National College Signing Day ~ Seniors will receive an email on April 30th with a link to fill out their college information.  We will make a slide show featuring college logos and the students' names with background music (students will be  asked to provide songs).  The slide show will be updated with new entries once a week until school ends.

AP Students 

• If your student is planning to take this year's AP exam, they need to log in to myap.collegeboard.org to be sure the email address provided is one that is active and checked regularly - CollegeBoard will send information and the exams themselves to that email address only.  Once they've logged in, they click Account Settings to see the email account being used.  
• AP Coordinator Ms. Sauer is no longer able to change a student's exam from "yes" to "no" in the AP ordering system; however, an exam is automatically cancelled when the student does not take the exam on exam day.  Ms. Sauer will get a report of who did not take the exam in June after all testing is complete and will process refunds then.  The cancellation/refund is dependent on the student not opening the exam link on test day.  

WHS PTO Staff Award 2020

Toddler Wall Tradition Goes Virtual!

Please upload a photo of your child as a toddler, and it will be posted to the online Toddler Wall. If you delivered a hard copy to the school, it will be uploaded. Please note that your child's name will be posted online with the picture. Click here to upload one photo of your toddler, and be sure to include their name as the file name (ex: Smith,John.jpg) so we can identify the picture.
