One Day and One Week at a Time...
Well, it is December 11th. We have almost made it through the Fall Semester of 2020 at Westlake High School. Back in late July, we made the simple statement that we would take each day and each week at a time. We all have our own memories of this semester. We have had days filled with fears and others with courage and a deep resolve. We have had days with sadness, joy, anger and appreciation. And we have done this as a team of students, staff and parents. True collaboration has allowed us to continue to be the finest high school in the state of Texas...

SENIORS: Balfour Cap & Gown Order Reminder

Alternate text

Cap and Gown orders for graduation

We are requesting that all orders be placed by 12/31, in order for Balfour to be able to deliver the order to campus in March.  All Balfour orders will occur online this year, and can be accessed HERE.  Some notes from Balfour on ordering…

  • For those that want to order just the cap & gown, click on "Shop Now" at the bottom of the page and it will take you to a new landing page that will show additional tassels and the cap & gown (there's a cap & tassel icon for the cap & gown).  When you click on it they will complete the information (height/weight, etc) and add to cart and then go to checkout if that's all you’re ordering.
  • If you are ordering just a tassel, you can use the same information above and you’ll see the souvenir tassel option.  The souvenir tassel is an extra standard tassel.  This is the option you will want to use if you already have a cap and gown used by a previous graduate.  We have been with Balfour since 2017.  If the previous graduate was in that class through 2020, their cap and gown will work and be the same shade of blue.
  • Cap and gown orders should be delivered to campus in March.  All other Balfour orders (Merchandise, Announcements, Apparel, etc.) will be shipped directly the the student’s home.

As we look forward to the Spring, we wanted to you make you aware of a few things:

  • We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 on the evening of Monday, May 24th.  Once final decisions and plans have been made for the specifics on the evening, we will be sure to get that information communicated.
  • Be sure to check out Project Graduation’s site for information and registration for this year’s event.

Help us tell the story...

Alternate text

The yearbook staff needs your help to tell the story of this year!

We are looking for photos from parents and students. We are working hard to capture everything that's happening and want to represent remote students and in-person students. Do you have any pictures of:

  • the first day of school
  • something you did over the summer
  • a photo of you in your favorite mask
  • any interesting projects you have done in school remotely
  • zooming from a remote location

If so, please email them to elpaisano@eanesisd.net, and include the names and grades of the people in the photo, as well as the date and any information about what they are doing!

Thank you for helping the yearbook students create a record of these times!!
