Adapted Physical Education involves adapting, modifying, and changing a physical activity so it is appropriate for a person who has a disability. Specially designed motor activities are presented which engage students in the development of fundamental motor skills, leading to the acquisition of physical fitness. Each child participates to the maximum extent possible in dance, body management, group games, and sports.
