Girls and Boys Cross Country - Chap Invite & St. Andrews Meet

Splish Splash...

As we conclude our fourth week of school, we have all settled into our routine or routines. We have our morning routine concluding with the morning drop off or pre-work procedures at the home and office. We have our lunch routine, our exercise routine, our evening and night time routines. We have our calendars on our phones, laptops and even an old school physical calendar that exists somewhere in our kitchen so we do not miss something. Our kids have their routines as well which include managing up to seven classes with an array of activities. They have calendars on their phones, laptops and some have dry erase boards in their bedrooms and/or bathrooms. Routines, even according many experts, are key to a successful life.

CHALLENGE SUCCESS - Coffee!

Image

Dear Parents,

As our eventful year kicks off, we are offering a new opportunity created by our Westlake Challenge Success Team.

Our student leaders are inviting parents to "Coffee with WHS Students", a time to openly discuss relevant topics in the Chap community with our students and teachers.

This month's topic is "Transition" - a particularly relevant one in the lives of our new Freshmen.

We extend an invitation to our Freshmen parents and to those who are new to the district, to discuss information, present questions, and derive insight into the workings of Westlake. We also invite to the discussion any parents who have had Freshmen students and would be willing to share some of their past experience for the benefit of all.

Please join us on Thursday morning, September 20th from 7:45-9am in the Chap Room. Coffee is provided :)

Sincerely,

The Challenge Success Student Group

CHALLENGE SUCCESS

How much sleep do your kids really need? How much activity is too much?  How do you know if they are too stressed? Do your kids need study tips?  Where are WHS kids really going to college? Want some facts on sleep, cheating, mental health, media, play, and more?!

Learn more about WHS Challenge Success, what we've done and where we're headed.

It will make a BIG difference in the life of your child.
