Westlake Theatre's Premiere of "Breaking News" by Don Zolidis

The Westlake Theatre department helped to kick off the West Ridge MS 8th grade story writing unit with their premiere production of Don Zolidis's satire, "Breaking News" at the Westlake PAC on Oct 4.

This collaborative project allowed Theatre II, III, and IV students to take a brand new script from the page to the stage for an audience of WRMS 8th graders, teachers, and parents. The playwright, Mr. Zolidis, joined us for a Q & A session about his work.

Healthy Chaps
With a focus on social emotional learning, self-awareness and self-management become increasingly important. Self-awareness focuses on identifying emotions, accurate self-perception, and recognizing strengths. Self-management focuses on stress management, self-discipline, self-motivation, goal-setting, and organizational skills. One of the ways to meet these needs is to journal.

October 12th is the next Speaker Series.
