The early registrations and minor changes in bell times have allowed us to make some significant changes to bus routes in a effort to minimize ride time, reduce bus crowding, improve on time performance and, in general, improve service levels.

Bus route and stop information will be sent out this year via email (No Postcard) to the primary contact shown in Skyward on Wednesday 8/16. Additionally, "Info Finder"will be loaded with bus routes that may be accessed through the district web site.

*Info-Finder, accessed through the BUS ROUTE Button on the district web site is always the
most up dated information. Button activated 8/16:

* Many routes have changed this year to improve service levels, reduce overall ride times,
minimize bus crowding, address safety issues and improve on time arrival to campuses.

Please do not request route/stop adjustments for the first two weeks of school unless there
is a Serious Safety issue. After routes have "settle down" needed changes will be made.

* We encourage parents and their young riders to watch the Play It Safe video on the
Transportation/Bus Safety page of the district web site.

* Please have riders at the bus stop 5 minutes before posted times. As usual, the first few
days of the year buses may be running later than usual as parents are taking photo
opportunities, riders are finding their buses and seats and drivers are becoming more familiar
with new routes.

* Smart Tags will be issued by the campuses to their students during the first day of school.
You will be receiving additional information on the program which offers significant benefits to
riders, parents and the district.

We will electronically give campuses an early look at their routes on 8/16 as well and will continue to provide updates for distribution to your staff through the first week of school. Please ask you staff to refer to Info Finder for additional route questions or direct staff and parents to use for any bus route questions directed to Transportation.
