Principal: Linda Rawlings

Linda Rawlings, Principal at Westlake High School, has more than 30 years of experience in education as an English /Latin teacher and administrator. She credits her interest in education to her maternal grandparents and mother who were all teachers. Prior to coming to Eanes in 2006, she was the principal at Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Rawlings holds the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in English and Latin from Texas Tech University, a Masters of Philosophy from St. Andrews University in Scotland, and a Masters of Education from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She served as Department Head for Foreign Languages, President of the Texas Classical Association, and recipient of numerous awards and recognition from students she taught during her twenty years in the classroom.

Mrs. Rawlings is passionate about providing our students with a rigorous, but relevant education that will prepare them for the 21st Century world in which they will live and work. She believes that our purpose as a school is to create an environment where both students and staff are inspired to be life-long learners.
Mrs. Rawlings and Pat, her husband of 31 years live in the hill country and enjoy visits from their three grown sons.

Mrs. Rawlings is committed to ensuring all students at Westlake attain skills necessary for success in the 21st century and providing numerous opportunities for students to explore and master these skills.

Associate Principal: Ross Sproul

Ross Sproul began his career in education in 1996 teaching science at the Deer Park High School North Campus. After three years in Deer Park, he served nine years at the Kingwood High School Ninth Grade Campus as a science teacher and campus administrator. While at the Kingwood High School Ninth Grade Campus, Ross was honored as the Teacher of the Year in 2003.

Ross believes young people must be encouraged to succeed by being shown, through positive example, the proper avenue toward success. He was fortunate to have been raised by two caring parents who provided an example for him to follow. As a teenager he took many trips to our nation’s historical landmarks and national parks. These trips not only taught him to appreciate American history, but also taught him the value of an education. Additionally, having a father employed at NASA afforded him the opportunity of growing up around the Johnson Space Center, and to experience first hand the exciting potential of math and science. It is a result of this exposure to NASA that influenced his decision to pursue a career in education, as well as, his attempt to join the educator astronaut program in 2002.

Outside the school day, Ross enjoys various outdoor activities, riding motorcycles, travel, and spending quality time with his two children. He is honored to serve the community of Eanes ISD, and to continue the proud tradition of success at Westlake High School.

The students are the main reason he is here.  His favorite part of the school day is the time he gets to work with the students and the teachers to help both groups get better.

Stephen has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Southwest Texas State University and Master of Education from the University of Houston. He lives here in Westlake with his wife Tina and their son Alexander.
