The Westlake Boys' Varsity Golf Team set all kinds of scoring records last weekend in the Shootout at the Lake en route to a staggering 27 shot victory over a good field at Lakecliff Country Club.

Girls' Cross Country Advances to Regionals!

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for advancing to the Regional cross country meet in Corpus Christi. The girls finished in second place as a team and with four runners in the top 15 at the district meet. Elise Smoot (5th), Maddie Dawson (6th), Cassidy Beard (10th) and Elina Mettaelae(15th).

National Honor Society

NHS Candidate Forms have been sent out to eligible Juniors and Seniors.

Forms were emailed to the student's school email address.

Candidate Forms need to be completed and returned to Mrs. Favaron in room 332 by 4:20 on Friday, October 13.

Late candidate forms will not be accepted.

If your student has any questions about how to fill out their candidate form, please have them email Mrs. Favaron at afavaron@eanesisd.net.

9th - 11th grade student class photos:

Photo Texas Photography will be at WHS for retakes on Oct. 17 during your lunch periods. If you are unable to make that date, you can reach out to Photo Texas Photography to make an appointment at their studio. Please click HERE to order your pictures. The WHS code is 1718-0017.

Senior portraits:

For those of you who were unable to get photos taken last week, we have added an additional date. In order to appear in the yearbook, seniors are required to sit for a formal portrait with Photo Texas Photography. No student ID photos will be used in the yearbook. We encourage seniors to go to the studio for their sittings; however, the photographers will be back on campus Nov. 6. Seniors may get their portraits made at that time by appointment, which can be made in Room 285. The photographers will set up outside of Room 285 and will have the necessary apparel for students. They will be back on Dec. 11-13 for retakes. In order to appear in the yearbook, you must have your portrait taken no later than Dec. 14.

Parents may honor their Senior children with a loving Senior Tribute in the 2018 yearbook. Please click on online order system.

Please note that the process has changed for placing senior tribute orders this year. We are moving to an online system in order to streamline the process. This system has layout options to choose from, or you can elect to upload a camera ready jpeg file into the system. Senior tribute space is sold on a first come, first served basis. Following are the deadlines:

Discount Deadline #2 -
all materials & payment must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 3

Final Deadline -
all materials & payment must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 1

Battle of the Lakes Parking

There will be 4 large shuttles running from the Mall to WHS bus lane in the front of the building starting at 6:00pm and will continue into the first inning, location of the parking area at the mall shown on the right.

Shuttles will start running again at the 3rd quarter and will continue until it is determined that everyone has been picked up.

Please remove ALL Vehicles from the parking lots after the football game. Any vehicles left in the parking lots will be towed early Saturday morning!

General PTO meeting is on Friday, October 20 from Noon-1PM in the recital hall.

Dr. Leonard will be presenting the State Of The District.

A few weeks ago, Jason Van Meter (WHS Academic Interventionist) and Lisa Johnson (WHS Educational Technologist) delivered a session to all freshman students on the topic of study skills and note-taking best practices.
